I have four 4-foot fluorescent lights in my 2 car garage, and I replaced all the bulbs with LED's. The LED's are WAY better, and they turn on when it's cold, which is impressive. I probably need 4 more of them though, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. I HIGHLY recommend LED's though. They were worth twice the price.

I redid the lighting at our shop with these.

I think I went through 8 boxes. Very bright.

The two drop ceiling lights were replaced with these because they were slim enough to be installed without fully removing the old fixtures.

Worked great, lots of light, and diffused nicely. They're like a skylight.

In the end, the t8 tube replacements I linked to on amazon are about the same price as the ones from Home Depot, possibly cheaper.
The con with the some of the ones at home depot is they require an electronic fluorescent ballast to be installed in addition to the LED tube, which just seems redundant.

Home Depot does have LED 2x4 bay lights for a reasonable price, if you don't mind them being ~2 inches deep.
I think they're the Lithonia Lighting branded ones.

Emissions & fuel economy haven't exactly been areas of strength for past rotary power plants, but absolutely no one with a soul has ever cared.

Thanks E! This whole "getting older" thing isn't great. I prefer my 20's.

MY 20's, not THE 20's.....jerk. lol Seriously though - I think I would have been pretty cool in the 1920's. I'm all about that steampower.
