Update:
- ABS light is now off. The module was unplugged because the clip on the connector was broken. 1 zip tie later - I have ABS again!
- Drove it around the block again. It's getting slightly better, though still gross inside.

Next:
- Fix the parking brake - because it doesn't do anything.
- Get a legal inspection sticker
- Drive it
- Clean it
- Recover the headliner
- Fix the stereo

UPDATE:
- ABS light is back F^%&ing on again. ABS pump/module is very unhappy.
- Pulled out whole interior and washed the carpet. It's still wet in the picture, but you get the difference...

Some people never have anything except ideas. Go do it.
Emissions & fuel economy haven't exactly been areas of strength for past rotary power plants, but absolutely no one with a soul has ever cared.

It is! Sadly it is supposed to rain all dang week here in Massachusetts! UGH. I was hoping for hot summer sun. Ah well.

Anybody have ideas on how to get cigarette smoke smell out of leather(really vinyl?) seats? I gotta figure that out.

Maybe try hair peroxide? Slather it on, let it sit in sunlight, and then wash off. Might want to check in an inconspicuous place first, in case it does weird things to vinyl.

Works a treat on yellowed/tar stained plastic computer cases.

UPDATE:
- Drove it more - got a light on the dash that says "tighten gas cap", but it is tight. I decided to go get a rejection sticker anyway...
- Failed inspection for:
-> Horn (which has worked perfectly until the moment he inspected it)
-> Emissions - PCM had not done a full test yet. I'm pretty surge the evap/purge solenoid is busted because that is what these trucks do.
-> Idler arm
-> Pitman arm

Sooooo. Those are next on the list. Goooo me!

UPDATE:
- Replaced the purge valve
- Fixed the horn
- Replaced the Idler arm and Idler arm bracket
- Replaced the Pitman arm

It's now leaking a good amount of antifreeze from someplace. Soooo, I'll probably go try to pass inspection anyway and see what happens.

UPDATE:
- Replaced the water pump, went for a test drive, vehicle misfired like crazy and won't accelerate.
- Discovered all spark plug wires had turned to dust, and spark plugs appear to have 100K+ miles on them. So - I replaced all spark plugs and wires. Runs great now
- Discovered rear O2 sensor is dead. Ordered new one.
- Radiator is leaking. Ordered new one.

UPDATE:
- Radiator and thermostat are installed and working great.
- Now I have a P0420 code.
- Fun Fact - you need over a half tank of gas for the evap readiness status to check.
- I had 6 exhaust manifold bolts broken off in the head. I'm hoping that those exhaust leaks are the cause of my P0420 and not my cats. With my luck though, it will be the cats.

So - Yesterday I did this:

Update:
- Installed new exhaust manifold gaskets and ARP manifold bolts. Looks and works great.

- Took it for a drive & I still get the P0420, soooo I'm gonna hack in some other cats that I have and see what happens. I'm sure they will fail me as well, because that is the life I live.

- My fuel sending is rotted and leaking fuel everywhere so I started the process of replacing it. It is literally the worst job ever. Whoever decided to put plastic fuel lines over metal fuel lines needs to be whacked in the Jack Johnson. The metal lines from the sending unit were rusted/stuck in the plastic lines and it took me many, many hours to get them out. Now I'm trying to get the tank back installed and it feels like it is crushing something. So yea, I'm quitting this truck for a few days.
