I ran into a problem with my 7 bolt NT 4G63 swap. The 7 bolt NT flywheel is smaller than the 6 bolt flywheel that came out of my 1986 D50. Can I use the turbo 7 bolt flywheel, clutch and pressure plate with my 5 speed transmission?

I know that the FWD DSM 6 bolt flywheel is smaller than the 6 bolt truck flywheel and I just used DSM parts to make it all work. I would bet that you can do the same. The clutch disc for a DSM is the wrong spline though. So you have to use a truck or a 3G? eclipse (if I remember right) clutch disc to mate it to the KM132 trans

So can I use the stepped flywheel from the turbo 7 bolt motor? A guy has the flywheel, clutch and pressure plate for sale from a GST. I'm waiting on him to send me the diameter of the flywheel. He said the flywheel has 110 teeth and the 6 bolt truck flywheel has 110 teeth and is 11" in diameter. I think the 7 bolt FWD turbo flywheel is the same except for being stepped.

I am not 100% sure because all of my stuff was 6 bolt. I used a stepped 6-bolt DSM fwd flywheel for mine. If a 7 bolt is the same diameter as the 6 bolt, I assume it would work.

I believe it is the same size, I'll know this weekend.

The 7 bolt turbo flywheel is the same diameter as the truck flywheel and have the same amount of teeth.

That is great news for you. So the starter should work, and you'll just need a DSM pressure plate, and a clutch disc that has the correct input shaft splines.

I already installed it, the guy had the pressure plate, and clutch with the flywheel. I used my truck's clutch and the turbo pressure plate.
