Hi Kevin! I typically don't do much with 2G harnesses, but I may have a diagram someplace. I'll look around tonight.

Hey kevin, on the first page of this thread scroll down to the third wiring diagram it says it's for a 2g harness.
Not sure if this is the same one you need or not.

I have an 89 mighty max that I have rebuilt a 4g63t and installed it. the wire harness that I have was kind of meh so I have been working on maping it and rebuilding it. I am confused by the symbols you have on your diagram. I have circled them. I am wanting to know what is needed for this section of wire seeing as the original harness had houshold wire that the metal insulation was being used as wire.

Welcome!

That symbol is for the shielding on the wire, to suppress noise.

It just means to connect the outer braid to ground at the sides closest to the sensors, and closest to the sensors, and leave it unconnected elsewhere.

Some people never have anything except ideas. Go do it.
Emissions & fuel economy haven't exactly been areas of strength for past rotary power plants, but absolutely no one with a soul has ever cared.

I'll agree with Walt on this one. It is shielded wire. The knock and O2 sensors are the only two DSM circuits that use this.

Quick question, what do I do with the battery fuses from the DSM side wiring harness? Do I have to extend those to the other side of the truck to the battery?

I remove all of those and simply use the stuff from the car that I install the 4g63 into. You just need to make sure your main power feeds to everything have fuses in case bad things happen. Most cars come with that.

Do you still have time to build 4g63 RWD harnesses? I have one, and it is all stripped down with all the wiring separated and taped by what it does ie: fuel injectors are all together, ignition components all together, so all that is really left is running them to lengthen and shorten, figure out a few mystery wires, new connectors where needed. Would you be able to finish it?

I'm not really doing that any more unfortunately. But if you post up pictures and questions here, I'd be happy to answer them for you!
