Give it a shot of carb/brake/ether and it'll make you feel better about it. Or dump a little fuel down its throat.

It seems like the injectors are problem #1. Once you get those sorted, you can diagnose the rest. The cas has a line/dot on it that lines up with a dot on the back of the cam. Match those up to make sure it is in phase. I am pretty sure that the engine will run with it 180 degrees out, but it will be hard to start and run crappy.

OK so replaced injectors with stock 2g's (450's right) also installed Coil on plug kit but did not connect any tach wires. Still would not officially start, it started going over and even sputtered on its own when I played with the throttle while cranking it over... any thoughts?
Thanks -Ryan

You don't need the tach wires to make the engine run, they are just used for the gauge cluster.

If it is sputtering, then you are very, very close. If I were you I would:

- Check for any possible leaks between the MAF and the intake manifold
- Double & triple check that your two-spade-connector coolant temp sensor is hooked up properly and working
- Look for possible large vacuum leaks (brake booster? EGR? etc)
- Make sure you have fuel in the gas tank ;)
- Pull the spark plugs and make sure they aren't soaked from the previous setup
- Hook up the Check Engine Light and see if you have any obvious codes?
- Make sure you have the wiring harness and ECU matching. 1990 vs 1991-94. Pins 6 &14 need to be swapped depending on what you are running.

I still have a few more things to check but so far I am not seeing anything wrong, does it matter that I have the maf next to the throttlebody instead of before the turbo? Is there something that needs to be changed in dsmlink for that?

Hi Ryan - if you have the MAF hooked up directly to the throttle body, you should be okay. However, you should make sure that there is not any air leaks in between. Do you happen to have any pictures of your setup? Maybe some pictures would help us help you! :)

Do you have dsmlink yet? Or are you running a maf translator?

Maybe do a log of the engine trying to start and post it up here?
