 Post subject: Supply Power to 1g Ecu in 89 max

OK at another stand still on this build... Im trying to figure out how you guys supplied Power to your ecu.... So far I wired up relays for the pump and fan and have everything mounted just need to run fuel lines and weld the exhaust...

My initial impression is that you have a lot of wires on your firewall. Do you still have the stock truck wiring in there?

As for power - I think most of mine came from two place:
1) The original truck engine harness, where it was removed, it plugged in at the firewall. That connector has power.
2) I added circuits into my fuse box for a super clean install.

I used the triangle shaped plug on the divers fender that the trucks engine harness gets power from, it has three prongs. I cut the other end of the plug off of the trucks engine harness and connected my dsm engine harness to the trucks factory lighting/starting/charging harness that way.. it looks clean and factory that way, tho I still need to clean up some stuff. hope that helps

Yep! That's what I did too, and then added a couple circuits to my fuse box as needed.
