Oh I was bit by the dsm bug 6 years or so ago, I first had a 95 eclipse gsx and I did a lot to that right before it crank walked :x then I had a 1990 talon(the one nick07xtreme owned before me) then I had this galant and decided I wanted a conquest, so the rwd 4g6- just made sense. But the galant is really what I have always wanted and took a while to find a COMPLETE stock one, this was a dealer maintained its whole life.
The way I ended up getting this is actually an odd story, I had just flipped over a 03 civic Si I bought and I was visiting nick07xtremes brothers house in winchester and it was sitting there a note was written and two months later I get a phone call from a gentleman who was the owner of this car, all he knew about it was that it was a galant, it was really good in the snow, he said it was "peppy" and that was it.... I asked him how much he wants, he said that he wasnt sure if he wanted to sell it but I could come take a look at it and take it for a ride if I wanted.. Didnt really make sense but I thought maybe I could convince him that he should sell it. Well I went there and we go for a ride, a wonderful ride that was SO SLOW!!(Ill explain later) I asked him how much, he said he had no clue how much to ask, I couldnt screw the guy so I told him I would give him 3k for it and BAMMMMM Greg owns a 1991 Galant VR4 1674/2000. I get it home and notice the turbo isnt making any boost(explains why it was SO SLOW) replace the bent WG actuator and zoom zoom :D So thats pretty much the story of my vr4.

thats awesome! Good deal. When I worked at a local gillman mitsubishi dealer. We had a few
people bring in vr4 3000gts that were bone stock and well taken care
of. And super clean 1st gen dsms that were to die for. Even a couple of turbo mirages that looked new.i Love the cars

Well its been a while since I have don't any kind of work on the good old galant, so this weekend I slapped in some shifter base bushings (aluminum) and some shifter cable bushings under the hood (skateboard bearings) and WOW it feels so good, about 3/4 inch slop back and forth/up and down when it gear. Its easy to miss shifts now though. And I just ordered some lowering springs to go with the set of kyb agx struts sitting on the shelf at home, so that will be next weekends project. Should handle better than my stock crap. Maybe my car won't look like its lifting tire on a good launch. I do want to get some video of that before this suspension goes and when I do it will get posted.

Well I changed out the struts and springs, kyb agx struts 4 way fronts and 8 way rears with h&r rear springs and eibach fronts, not sure sure why they are different, I got them used for cheap. THE CAR NOW HANDLES AMAZING!!!!!! It really is crazy how different it is. But here are a couple pictures. PS not my garage, Nick's. And the second picture is her sitting a whole 7/8" lower...F that noise. Coils are getting cut next time its apart.

comparing your pictures i guess it did drop pretty decent, and it did look lowered when you pulled it into the garage yesterday. but it needs to be SLAMMED

Yeah I guess the front is lower but I think the rear is about the same. But I must say that it is alot more stiff, aka me likey!

Well today I started swapping out my 3 Bolt open diff rear end with a much stronger 4 Bolt L.S.D. rear end. The old one is out right now and the new one is getting wire brushed and painted then it goes in with the appropriate axles and axle cups, this is going to make winter pretty damn amazing. Plus once I do my clutch that will drop my 60' time by a TON. 1.60 here I come!
