House Paint Car Job?

Post by TheKwinkyist » Sat Jun 01, 2013 1:44 am

So i had this weird idea come to mind and thought of using house paint to paint the MM. I've looked around on other sites and can't seem to get a straight answer on it.

So my question is:
Can you do it
What type of house paint to use
What brand to use (or best)

I've seen threads on the subject before. Looks like about 10coats and lots of wet sanding and buffing.

Bedliner in a can.

Wash the truck with dish soap and a stiff plastic brush.

Mask all trim/keyholes/etc.

Scuff up with 80 grit a bit.

Spray in light, even coats, let tack, repeat. Try not to get runs.

It is awesome.

Emissions & fuel economy haven't exactly been areas of strength for past rotary power plants, but absolutely no one with a soul has ever cared.
