That is super awesome! Somebody bought that sucker as a hotrod. Is it fast? I have to assume it must be!

I don't know that I would call it fast hahahaha but quick maybe. It's enough to have fun for sure. I measured a 0-60 time on a cell phone without really launching it and it did it in 7 seconds. Over double what I'm used too from even 600cc bikes, but not bad for a 4500lb suv.

URGHAGARBLEBLAH!
Waiting for a check to cash at the VT DMV, or for them to give me any indication of paperwork issues/if this thing is gonna get plates.

No title, broker is out of state, car was from out of state, it's a ball of wax.

VT did get back to me, super nice response as to what I needed to correct in my paperwork, now just waiting on a few things and I can mail back for round two.

Overall? Pretty stress free DMV experience.

So VT cashed the check last week, which means plate and registration are in the mail.
Insurance was added (basic liability only), and that's all valid.
Now it's a matter of getting the bent suspension links replaced, and I'm good to go!

Oh, there was another moment of weakness... Image

1979 20' Hawaiian bubble deck jet boat.
PantherJet pump and a 307 chevy.

It's not a marine engine, so I have a bit of work to do to get it in good shape. Plumbing the water feed to the engine, fuel, all the ignition and a bunch of other stuff.

It's not factory, but will work to prove out the hull till something else comes along.

The deal was too good to pass up.

I'll be cross-posting my build thread from VintageJetBoats.com like I do with most projects.

Plans for the new RX-8 are to replace the damaged rear suspension links, fix the auto leveling headlight issue, get an alignment, then drive it like I stole it.
Maybe do a road-trip to Vermont to get it inspected in Vermont.
The plates came in for it, just waiting on the registration to mail.

Okay. Looks like the full editor is the busted part. I'll hopefully be able to figure this out...

Okay, I now have everything backed up and ready to upgrade the forum & hopefully fix the problem. I will likely do it tomorrow. So if you happen to see the forum down for a period, it is because I am updating stuff.

Bad new.
1st attempt at an "automatic" update failed.
2nd attempt at a "manual" update failed.

I keep getting the message

The installer detected a timeout
The installer has detected a timeout, you may try to refresh the page, which may lead to data corruption. We suggest that you either increase your timeout settings or try to use the CLI.

I googled and tried a variety of things to make it work, like changing the PHP settings and configure file. No luck. So I'll try again this weekend if I have some time.

One suggestion is to have your host roll-back your PHP version to 7.2, which apparently fixes some of the broken stuff enough to update.

Then have them roll it forward to 7.3 or 7.5 after everything is installed.

There's a how-to on changing versions through the web hosting interface at the below link that may help.

You've got this!

I downgraded to 7.2 and get no difference. I think the only thing left to try and a brand new PHPBB forum, and then try to bring all the legacy data into the new version and hope like hell it works.
