ho,

i so slooo and sloppy.... plenty mahalos to my good friends R&S for letting me use their space and tools.

im kinda at a point of confusion. the "silver thingy" sitting on top of the motor next to there cam thingy is pionting the wrong way. i see the pics of Yodas build and the "silver thingy" has the male piece coming off the front connected to a hose connected to the inter cooler. mine is pionted to the fire wall directed towards the left. A: why is my silver thingy pionting the wrong way. B: there is 4 bolts securing the cap of the silver thingy. i could remove the bolts and rotate the cap redirecting the hose from the back of the engine? C: how do i get mine pointing forward?

my hands are so beat up. wow. tin snips were the mvp right up till the piont where the sal zaw found his way out the case.

time to paddle, aloha.

Wow, You are commited now. When you say "silver thingy". Do you mean turbocharger? (Looks like a snail) If so, yes, you flip it 180 degrees and then you have to make a new drain tube for the oil, make new water lines for the antifreeze, and probably buy a flexible oil feed hose that goes from the oil housing to the top of the turbo.

Does that make any sense? If not, I will try again.

we should make a 4g swap guideline page. I know there's projectzerog, but its kinda generic and pointed more towards the starions. We could make a real one for all the max50's out there.

I'm cool with that.

Are you talking a website page or a forum post? We could do either to be honest.

it could be a sticky, yet sometimes a post can get a little cluttered and hard to follow. but im not sure what else you have to work with.

damn that would be cool of you nick! I'm sure he's down for pointers

And yes like a forum post. I'll could even take my truck partially apart and take pics if needed. Its an easy swap, I could even take some harness pics of what I removed to help out with the wiring, it was easy just time consuming. We could write up little how to's like one on wiring, one on Mounting it and showing the effects of mounting the engine where I did it and how jeremy had done it making his mounts. Something like that. I'd like to help put some of my knowledge to use it I can.

When you say "ECI Multi" do you mean Intake manifold? :) I bet that's it!

Yes, you need to have somebody modify an intake manifold for you and put the throttle body end on the "front" of the engine. As for the belts. I would recommend figuring out what you really need. Are you going to have power steering? If not, then just flatten the waterpump pulley with a hammer and put a belt around the waterpump, crankshaft, and alternator.
