Any local part store should have them, or you could probably buy them on eBay pretty easily. Are you really sure you want to go through all this again? lol I'd part that truck out and move on to a different, more fun project.

local part stores are tits on a boar over here. 9 out of 10 ebay sellers dont ship to hawaii or alaska. i did order some valves from nevada. it took a little over a month as the package started out ups and ended up with the post office.
im the worst wrencher on this sight but i may also be the most stubborn. me, sadaam and osama will enjoy slurpies in hell before i sell that truck.

If you ever need parts and have problems with shipping, let us know. I'm always game to help forward things over. :)

Hey Mark - are you looking for "valve keepers" ? Is that what you mean when you say "clips"?

How many keepers do you need? I may have some. I'd have to look though. Valve guide - I don't have.

hehe, this the 9th year and my truck has ran 3 months. my good friend was teasing me about how much ive spent for those 3 months, all I could think to say is that it was better than spending it on coke or hookers.

had to log on to look at pics of how to hook the piping for the turbo so I'm nervous about some important refreshers.. 1 have to prime the turbo right. can just unhook the coil and turn it over for 5 seconds, or 1 crank at a time until oil comes out the turbo feeder? or dump some oil in the turbo top and start it? when I changed out the water pump there was corrosion. that's not good. . do I need to flush the entire system as soon as it stats running to pump the bad S**t out or just use the radiator as a filter and get a new one? strt it up and let it run for a few min then change the oil and coolant. anything a non mechanic should know?

also, I noticed the metal line attached to the banjo on the water closest to the wheel is twisted. just go to the local junk yard in kona or probably hilo and find a scrap one? bigger is better on just look for something the same size?

Mark - pictures would be amazing for these questions. Is there any way you could get some pictures on here? To answer some questions:

- Prime the turbo by unplugging the ECU and spinning the engine over until oil comes out the oil feed line. When it does, you can put the banjo bolt into it and you'll be good.
- I'd try flushing the cooling system however you can before you get it running. Remove your radiator and thermostat and run a water hose through the engine for a little while. Feed the water in one radiator hose and it will pour out the other.
- I don't understand which line of yours is twisted. I'd need a picture to understand.

Do you have the timing belt 100% figured out this time? You don't want to bend 16 more valves. Make sure the timing is right, the mechanical tensioner moves, and the hydraulic tensioner is pressurized properly.
