Re: Greetings From Kansas
I had shoulder surgery on the 8th of December to repair a torn rotator cuff from the accident, and have been cooling my heels and plotting and scheming about how to find a motor for my 98 and also some toys for my 93. Looks like my good deeds from the past have caught up to me because it looks like Iv'e got both things covered, and I wasn't even trying.
I just talked to a buddy of mine back in Texas and he's looking to unload his 2nd Gen Eclipse GS-T, along with some other parts he's been holding onto. He's had the car and these parts for years, and just lost interest in them, so once again...I'm getting a hell of a deal on some cool parts.
For some reason his GS-T has a 6 Bolt 2.3L installed. I figure the 2.3L in that car will find a new home in my 93 AWD, and the 2.0L 6 Bolt in there can go into my 98 AWD TSi. I plan on using the GS-T as a parts car to replace anything that's missing from my 98 to get that thing as complete and together as possible. Once that's done, I'll see if anyone is interested in a fairly clean, rust free 2G GS-T shell. Hopefully, I won't have to junk it.
I'm also getting a stock 6 Bolt Longblock to use as a spare, so I won't be lacking parts...just space to store all this crap.
Once I recover from all these surgeries, I'm gonna be one busy little guy.

That's great news Ed! Are you mobile again at this point, or still stuck away from home?

Re: Greetings From Kansas
Jeremy- Home now. Walking around, and actually able to get around in the garage a little bit now. Can't do too much because my left arm is still in a sling, but I started physical therapy and hope to be back at it once everything heals up.
Ryan- Thanks man. I was pretty lucky. Nothing amputated, not maimed or crippled permanently. It gets frustrating sometimes, because I'm pretty much over being broken and not able to work either at my job, or on my cars. Trying to stay positive and see this thing through.

Re: Greetings From Kansas
.Jeez, I dropped off the face of the earth.
Few changes. Back at work full time and about 95% recovered from my accident and surgeries.
Sold both of my Talons and picked up a Dodge Stealth R/T TT as my "old man" car.
Also got a 5 Speed 94 Plymouth Colt Wagon and a 87 Mighty Max to play with.
I still have the built 2.3l that was supposed to go into the 93 Talon TSi/AWD I had, but might find its way into the Mighty Max or something else.
Dunno yet

Re: Greetings From Kansas
Sweet deal on the stealth! Check your idle air control valve, make sure it isn't getting to the "fry the ECU" stage.

Emissions & fuel economy haven't exactly been areas of strength for past rotary power plants, but absolutely no one with a soul has ever cared.

Re: Greetings From Kansas
Well, I made a few changes the last time I posted.
The Mighty Max and the Colt Wagon are gone, along with the built 2.3L motor.
Still have the Stealth and also went down the StarQuest Rabbit Hole pretty deep and have a 88 Conquest TSi in Durban Maroon. Pulled it of a old school StarQuest guy's backyard where it sat for 10 years.
It runs and drives, but the G54B is not really doing it for me.
Probably picking up a built 6 Bolt 4G64 DOHC Engine that was in a swapped Mighty Max for awhile.
Probably going to do something stupid with that and the Conquest.
