Hi my name is Zack and this is my max.

Sorry for the dark pics. I've had this truck for 6 years. I've rebuilt the engine once, and I swear nothing can kill this thing. Its better on gas then my 2005 cobalt, so I use it for delivery as you can see by the magnets. This truck is my baby and it makes me money too. I just bought some halo headlights and grill mesh. Its no 4g63 swap but money is tight, though I cannot wait to make the swap on mine. Ill post the before and afters when the parts come in. I love this board and I know I'm going to get a lot of help from you guys.

Thanks for having me!

Its a 1991. The paint job is only 3 years old. 270k miles and still trucking. It sat covered under a tree for two years when I came to college. It cranked right up and made a 3 hour trip with no problems. Only thing it needs is new tire rods and an alignment to be perfect. Also, I broke a stud on the head for the manifold so there is a minor exaust leek. I fabricated a metal bracket that wraps around the head to hold the manifold tight. Kind of ghetto but it works haha.

Its got a few dings. The rust isn't that bad either, I think a good sand blasting of the frame would take care of it, no serious repairs are required though.

I'm about to put some cool grill mesh and new headlights in. I really want to do the 4g swap but it isn't happening anytime soon. My roommate just totaled his eclipse, its a 2005 and the engine might be salvageable, he said he'd sell it to me for 600 I can probable talk him down but I'm not sure it will work. What do you guys think?

I would try for $300 seeing as how you will be just taking some parts.

viewtopic.php?f=8&t=969 <-- list of stuff you will need.

The list says I need a 4g63 with "6-bolt" from 1990-1992
what is meant by 6-bolt?
will the 4g64 from this 2005 eclipse work? It doesn't have a turbo but i can get one after market right?

6 bolt means the number of bolts holding the flywheel on. For ease of wiring you want a 6 bolt
