Hey kids..
I'm trying to get more parts together for my 89 max and since it is down, I thought of hitting the yard for parts to make a disc conversion for it.
I lost the entries of another guy here that did it and can't even remember his name.
I clicked a buy it now on Ebay for a bracket that holds '83-85 4wd calipers and rotors from another yota.
WELL I didn't know that all the yota 4wd are a 6-lug pattern..
I have a 5-lug so I can use my Conquest rims.

Would it be worth it to have them redrilled, or does someone know the parts to make it work?

Thanks E

not sure if the 2wd yota's ever came with discs on the rear.

my .02, go explorer rear. could get 3.73 or 4.10's, LSD, disc brakes, and 5x4.5" lug pattern for around $150. if you get really motivated, get another passenger side axle, hack out 3" of the driverside tube, move the spring perches and even your stock rear Star Quest wheels should probably be almost flush to the wheel well.

i'm in the middle of doing this, will post pics when its back together.

Best bet is to look for rotors that have the same offset/diameter/thickness as the 6 bolts, with the 5 bolt pattern.

Maybe ones off a Mitsubishi Endeavor? I know they are 5 lug with e-brake in the back.

Some people never have anything except ideas. Go do it.
Emissions & fuel economy haven't exactly been areas of strength for past rotary power plants, but absolutely no one with a soul has ever cared.

Wayy old thread, but I did my own research on all this as well.

Easy answer:

SVO Mustang Rear Rotors.
The brackets interchange, you will just need 80-85 Monte Carlo or Cadillac Seville Rear calipers if you get the brackets for GM calipers.
